Responsibilities
★ Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
★ Support mobility, transfers, and safe positioning.
★ Assist with toileting and continence care.
★ Prepare nutritious meals, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
★ Observe and report changes in the senior’s health or behavior to the relevant healthcare professionals or family members.
★ Provide assistance with transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other essential errands.
★ Communicate effectively with seniors, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to care.
Qualifications
✓ High School Diploma or equivalen
✓ Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is often preferred.
✓ Training in CPR and basic first aid may be required.
✓ Compassion, empathy, and patience are essential qualities.
✓ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Working conditions
